Why We're Collecting for Liberty House This September

1 min read

Liberty House is one of the shelter partners our Day of Service wish list drive supports this year, alongside our club's ongoing Awareness of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault project. Families arrive at shelters like Liberty House with little more than what they could carry. Our wish list — books, hygiene items, diapers in all sizes, blankets, interview-appropriate clothing, backpacks, and school supplies — covers what a family needs in the first days and weeks of starting over.

We're just over two weeks away from Day of Service on September 26, and every donation between now and then goes directly toward this drive. If you haven't dropped anything off yet, any single item on the list helps.

Drop-off opportunity: Tuesday, September 9, 4:30 PM at 340 S Third, Independence, OR. You can also reach us at gfwcpolk1914@gmail.com with any questions.

Thank you to everyone who has already given. See our Day of Service event page for full drop-off details, and thank you for helping us make this year's drive count.
