About GFWC Polk County Service Club
Our club is included in the General Federal Women's Club (GFWC), Western Region of GFWC, and GFWC Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC-OFWC) organization.
The mission of the club is to promote greater community service, foster educational opportunities in the community, and support programs of the GFWC organizations. To this end, the efforts of our volunteers are focused on promoting fellowship among our members and to uniting common interests in education and philanthropic endeavors.
To date, we are supporting/have contributed to worthwhile causes such as Domestic Violence Awareness, Child Abuse Awareness, CASA, veterans, and other projects as necessary. The club also supports events such as the Annual Polk County Talent Show.
Another project of interest is renovating the Historic Independence Woman’s Club to bring it back to its old glory as well as making it stand out in the community.
